My experience with this company started out pretty good. They got my reservation set up quickly with Patrick and they answered any questions that I had. However, I canceled my move on the 1st of July about 3 days after I reserved it. After about a month of waiting and not seeing a refund I called them to inquire about the status of my refund and they stated that they didn’t know that I wanted a refund. So then on the 30th of August they finally emailed confirming that they would refund me. However, after a week of again waiting for a refund I still had not seen anything, so I called them back. They said that the refund had been issued and that it should show up in my account within a week. Again I wait another week and I still do not see the refund. This continues for three weeks until finally they offer to just mail me a check for the refund. I gave them my address to mail it to on September 18th and again waited until the 1st of October. When I still haven’t received it I called back to check on the status and they told Mee ghat they had never mailed the check for the refund when they said that they had. When I asked how to receive my refund or when I asked to be transfered to a manager they would place me on a hold and leave meon hold until I hung up. This happened multiple times. They still have not given me any way to resolve the issue duspite me sending multiple emails and calling for several weeks. I am not very happy regarding the service that I received from this company. Deffinetly wouldnt recomend using them to anyone after having this experience.
Run from this company. Their business model is to give you unrealistic low price, take the deposit and then watch you battle out with another company as you get treated poorly because they are upset how low they are getting paid.Here is what’s going to happen if you decide to move forward:- They will be extremely nice to you as they hired good sales people (in my case Bobby – who never spoke to me ever again, they shield them once they sign)- When you sign, they will sell your move to another company (in my case to Legend Movers and then to A&L) to a first company who agrees to the lowest bid.- They will ask so-called QA to reach out to you to take accurate measurement of your inventory (do not spend time doing so as it won’t be used anywhere)- Random unknown company will show up at your door step, will load everything up and then will start extorting more money for your move.- When you pushback referencing contract, they will tell you they will dump everything on the ground. You will agree because either you have no time or had too much stress.- After begging them to deliver, they will deliver all your items either damaged or lost. You are lucky if they will assemble it. Mine got tossed in front of the house and all furniture hardware were lost for half of it that made it.- When you file a claim, they will send you to shell company who “processes claims” and makes it impossible to do it with tons of made up rules.- If you are very determined and make it past, they won’t respond to you for 90+ days until you give up.Good luck :)P.S they generate fake positive reviews so your negative ones get covered up. If you sort out negative ones, you will see that the business playbook they operate under is extremely accurate.Message me if you want to combine forces and go after them.
I just received a call from Charter Van Lines after submitting information for a quote and the representative was forceful, became upset and hung up on me because I asked if I could compare moving prices with other companies. Before hanging up he goes, “I don’t even know why you’re on the phone with a moving company right now.” Very unprofessional!!!
Nightmare Experience! We had little alternative because we had to relocate then. The truck was obviously too tiny for such a move even though I was told while making the reservation that it was a 3-bedroom house. Because their vehicle was too tiny, they had to make three journeys to transport everything, which took them seven hours.” Abusive Customer Service,!
My wife and I were told to pay $350 for three-hour, but they increased the price at the end and were very disrespectful when I talked to them. I am extremely dissatisfied with their service and will never use or suggest them again.
I could give less than one star I would! I think every piece of furniture I have has been damaged by these unsavory people. The price doubled like most people here are saying and they treated us like we were scum. Money aside from it, they treated me and my belongings like trash. They wait till you’re backed into a corner time wise and then they double the price! My wife took a picture of the trucks DOT number and I looked it up on FMCSA only 1 truck listed for this company (not A&M by the way) the complaints were same as on this page. Deceptive business practices and damaged items among others.
Horrible company. Sent only one person to unload our apartment, and we had to help get our furniture upstairs, so it was basically doing it ourselves except for driving. I emailed the company to file a complaint against an employee who has stolen money from me and does not respond. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, they will break and lose your stuff and they do not care, and do not answer emails.
Amazing crew on board! They arrived right on time, were fast as lightning at getting everything done and did it all with the utmost dedication. Cannot praise them enough!
Had them move my daughters items from Texas to Connecticut. No communication after pick up then the driver Nash held my daughters items hostage until she paid the “new” charges upfront. Mow the service caller was useless and literally told me to file an insurance claim with the company to get money back, even if there was no damage or missing items. Dishonest and unprofessional. Will never recommend or use company again.
Worst movers EVER!!! DO NOT USE THESE GUYS! They moved us from Corpus Christi and didn’t have a big enough truck. Their guy said he was going to put our stuff in storage and send another truck down to get it the next day. Now they can’t find it. Suddenly the employee is fired and they don’t know the storage unit. They won’t tell us where $22k worth of our stuff is. Call the cops, they won’t help. These guys are stealing your stuff! DO NOT TRUST THEM! I lost my kids baby pictures! My outdoor patio set. My Mom’s (who passed) pictures. Irreplaceable family heirlooms. These guys are criminals!!!! DO NOT TRUST WITH YOUR FAMILY’S valuables!!!!! ZERO STARS IF I COULD!!!
