Because of the movers’ professionalism and competence, a difficult circumstance became much simpler.
You guys rock, dudes! Along with moving my entire house without any damage, you also came to my rescue when I realized I had forgotten my European wolf spider. In a cardboard box, your team built him a stylish residence. Thank you for going above and beyond!
Our move from California to North Carolina with Pan Transit Vanlines LLC and Brooklyn Moving Inc was the worst experience of our lives. From false promises to delays, extortion, and extensive damage to our belongings, these companies caused us unimaginable stress and hardship. Initial Booking and Broken Promises We initially contacted Pan Transit Vanlines LLC, speaking with John (561-600-9725, john@pantransitvanlines.com), who assured us they were a full-service moving company providing door-to-door service. The move was quoted at $2,002.01, and we paid a $826 deposit. However, as the moving date approached, John disappeared. When we called, we were told he no longer worked there, and the company disclaimed any responsibility for the promises he had made. Two days before the move, we were informed our job had been handed over to Brooklyn Moving Inc (888-889-6872, support@brooklynmovinginc.com), without our knowledge or consent. No one explained that Pan Transit was just a broker, not a moving company. Pick-Up Day Brooklyn Moving Inc arrived late in the evening on the scheduled pick-up day and presented us with a new contract, increasing the cost to $2,599. Despite our frustration, we paid $1,297 via Zelle, and a representative named Ez reassured us our belongings would arrive in one week. Delivery Delays and Neglect After driving to North Carolina, we called Brooklyn Moving Inc about our delivery, only to learn that they hadn’t even started looking for a truck. Alfredo (888-889-6872) told us they would begin now that we had confirmed we were ready to receive our items—contrary to their original promise. For a month and a half, we lived with no clothes, furniture, kitchen items, or personal care essentials, relying only on what we could fit in our car. My boyfriend and I had to sleep on a blow-up mattress, which worsened our existing health issues. My boyfriend was recovering from spinal surgery, and I was recovering from a car accident, both of us already dealing with back problems. This situation caused us long-term physical issues, forcing me to see a chiropractor. We called daily, only to be told they had 30 days to deliver and that trucks were hard to find for our area. Jordan, a supposed dispatch supervisor, admitted that Pan Transit Vanlines was just a broker and that our load was “not worth it” for them to send a truck. This critical information was never disclosed during booking. Delivery Day Nightmare After more than a month of escalating frustration, Brooklyn Moving finally sent a truck. The driver, who worked for yet another company, arrived and revealed that Brooklyn Moving hadn’t paid him for previous deliveries. As a result, he refused to release our belongings until they paid him. This led to an all-day argument, lasting until 9 PM. The day before, Alfredo and I had agreed on a final price of $1,387, but during the standoff, Brooklyn Moving demanded an additional $400 to cover what they owed the driver. I refused, told them I would call the police, and reported the situation. When the police arrived, three officers documented the incident. As soon as Brooklyn Moving realized a police report was being filed, they backed down and reverted to the agreed price. Finally, the driver’s boss agreed to pay the fees Brooklyn Moving owed him. The driver then hired two men to unload the truck. Damaged and Destroyed Belongings The state of our belongings was devastating: – Boxes were soaked and torn, with many appearing deliberately ripped apart. – Books were water-damaged and shredded. – Our dresser was broken, mattress torn, and lamp shattered. – All our glass food containers, plates, and outdoor furniture were destroyed. – Nearly every item was damaged, showing clear negligence. We have since filed a claim with CSI https://csipros.org, but the emotional, financial, and physical toll this move took on us is immeasurable. Replacing everything that was lost or damaged has cost us thousands of dollars, on top of the original fees we paid for this disastrous move. Final Thoughts Pan Transit Vanlines and Brooklyn Moving Inc are deceptive, unprofessional, and predatory. Pan Transit Vanlines misrepresented themselves as a moving company, only to outsource the job to Brooklyn Moving Inc, whose actions were careless and dishonest. If you value your belongings, health, and peace of mind, stay far away from Pan Transit Vanlines LLC and Brooklyn Moving Inc. This experience was a nightmare we wouldn’t wish on anyone. Lousy, horrible no good very bad. Movers dumped everything into boxes like plants at the bottom of a large box of clothes. dishes wrapped in our own towels. Table legs missing. Told anything disassemble would be put back together: was not. Electronics and remotes missing or in different box. Many broken dishes, many broken chairs, nothing labelled. Near end of unload they just got in their truck and left when we were not looking. DO NOT USE – ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE.
I used this moving company because I’m retired and too old to move heavy antique furniture. All my furniture was picked up and carefully packed. I was happy about that and expected my delivery in a few days. one month a budget but rent a truck shows up at my new home with one person to deliver my furniture. The truck was full so my mattress was strapped to the back of the truck. He EXPECTED my help to move everything. Allot of my furniture was damaged as he alone attempted to empty the rental truck. Towards the end he became upset and stated ” come on, I got to go “.He showed up at 4 pm and now it is dark and starting to rain. Several pieces for antique furniture suffered damage. This Company is a Fraud. Unacceptable. Please beware!!Poor experience. TOTAL SCAM. HORRIBLE PEOPLE.
We downsized from a large house to an assisted living community. smaller one! All of True Solutions Moving LLC employees were helpful and pleasant to work with. We’ve done a lot of moving about, but this one was the biggest. I would suggest this company without any reservations.
“What I order 3 hours of work for 4 men with equipment (hand truck) and boxes to pack my tv’s and appliances into a pod to move across country they were schedule to arrive between 930-10 am. What I got the packers did not arrive until around 1 pm and when my wife kept calling to find out where they were at the operators were surprised that they were not there. When they finally did arrive 3 hours late they showed up with 3 men and no equipment or boxes. They were told they were unpacking and not loading. Fine my wife calls and the individual she talked too is rude and unhelpful and offers to send another crew out tomorrow which we cant do because moving across country. So great off to Lowes I go to buy a hand truck and some boxes for T.V’s. less than 2 hours later the movers are sitting in their car in our driveway with nothing else to do or so they say. We spent another hour finishing loading the pod. They destroyed the trim in one of my rooms and were late and unprepared for the job we had for them. Great no issue if they had charged us correctly. They charged us the full rate they quoted us for 4 men and equipment and when my wife called they did not answer and she left a message. 2 days later I have to call 4 times to finally speak to someone and apparently they only overcharged us 100 dollars. 4 men, equipment, boxes for 3 hours 725 dollars. 3 men, 3 hours late and totally unprepared to move my stuff for less than 2 hours 625 dollars factor in the equipment I had to buy for them to do the job and it’s the same price as above. I am having to go through my credit card company to fight this fraud of a company. Do your self a favor and go somewhere else
Arrived over an hour late. No apologies. Driver was terribly rude and uncooperative. We asked if he could park in our driveway has requested by our HOA. He refused. Then on our way to our new place they stopped without notice and we had to pull over and wait on the side of the road while they went to do the groceries and casually walked back eating as we waiting for them. But….their packing skills are exceptional. They were fast and efficient. Putting aside the tardiness and rude behavior, these boys know what they are doing when it comes to packing.
These people took my deposit and did not give it back after not following up with the contract date. They did NOTHING but take my money and said they would help me. When? It’s been more than 2 weeks since my move out. Total scam. Watch out for Susan from “customer service” and Anthony “sales”. They said they would give me a partial refund, why partial when the contract was not followed by THEM. Total disappointment and a total fraud.
We are very appreciative that we went with your moving company. Indeed, your group shines. Working with such pleasant, easy-going, kind, polite, and committed individuals was a delight.
